The Summer School of Vacuum Technology 2024 program is planned from the evening of Monday 5/27 to Thursday 5/30 at noon. The traditional company evening (Wednesday) will also be part of the school. This year’s SSVT will be held in English to enable the participation of foreign-speaking participants.

The theme of the school is focused on plasma and ionized environment and modern methods associated with it. These phenomena are used both in basic research and in a number of modern applications. Individual topics will be presented by renowned experts. The school is designed to provide comprehensive information even to those workers who are starting out in the field. Brief annotations of the lectures is available on the CVS website. A traditional company evening will also be part of SSVT 2024.

ORGANIZATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:

The summer school of vacuum technology takes place from May 27 to 30, 2024 in the Biskupský pivovar U sv. Štěpána in Litoměřice.

Accommodation of participants in double rooms and their meals are provided from dinner on 27.5. until lunch on 30.5. Please indicate all the required services in the electronic registration form. It is mandatory to register and deliver proof of payment by May 14, 2024. After this date, the organizers cannot guarantee the availability of accommodation in the guesthouse or in the nearby area. Send confirmation of payment by email to the address of the CVS secretariat cvs@vakspol.cz , or by post or fax. If you cannot apply via the website, request a written application form from the secretariat.

The registration fee includes lodging, meals and accommodation. The entry fee is 1,800 CZK for individual members of the CVS and for employees of collective members of the CVS, 1,200 CZK for students – members of the CVS (confirmation of studies), 1,500 CZK for other students and 2,100 CZK for other participants. The registration fee also includes the abstract book. Each participant will be provided with accommodation (810 CZK/night) and meals (breakfast is included in the accommodation price, lunch 210 CZK, dinner 210 CZK) to the extent according to the completed application. The hotel also offers a vegetarian diet (mark the request on the application form).

Biskupský pivovar U sv. Štěpána, Litoměřice

Biskupský pivovar is located in the center of the historic town of Litoměřice, which lies at the foot of the Český středohoří mountains. There are a number of historical monuments in the city itself and its surroundings. The location of the city allows for walks and rides in nature along the banks of the Elbe and in the nearby mountains. The Biskupský pivovar offers quality local beer. Litoměřice is also located in the center of a well-known wine region. The brewery building has its own spacious parking lot under camera surveillance.
