Information about the CVS committee
The Committee of the Czech Vacuum Society (CVS) is an elected body that ensures strategic leadership and the fulfillment of the main goals of the society. It is composed of experts with many years of experience in research, development and the industrial sector, with each member bringing specific knowledge from the field of vacuum technologies, materials engineering or solid state physics to the discussion. The members of the Committee meet regularly to jointly plan professional events, initiate new projects and coordinate activities across the membership base. In addition, they oversee mutual cooperation with international organizations and ensure that Czech activities in the field of vacuum technology and science are at the world level.

CVS Control Commission
The Control Commission of the Czech Vacuum Society (CVS) is an independent supervisory body that ensures the transparent and responsible functioning of the entire organization. Its main task is to supervise compliance with the statutes, internal guidelines and adopted resolutions, both in the financial and organizational areas. The Commission carries out regular economic audits, analyzes the activities of the committee and evaluates the effectiveness of implemented projects. In the event of ambiguities or suggestions from ČVS members, it has the authority to propose measures or recommendations for correction, thereby ensuring that the company fulfills its mission in accordance with the principles of transparency and professionalism.

Vacuum 
The International Space Station orbits the Earth at an altitude of about 400 km. It flies in an imperfect vacuum with a lot of residual atmosphere. This causes the station to experience low aerodynamic drag and must occasionally correct its orbit.
