PRAGOVAC 2025

PRAGOVAC is a traditional annual meeting of users, scientists and technicians, as well as representatives of Czech and foreign companies operating in the field of vacuum technology, which has been held regularly since 1992, usually during November. This event serves as a platform for the exchange of the latest knowledge, presentation of innovations and establishment of professional contacts between the academic and industrial spheres. Thanks to a wide range of lectures, discussions and presentations of devices or technical solutions, PRAGOVAC has become an important opportunity to connect experts from various fields of vacuum technology and to strengthen international cooperation in this rapidly developing industry.

The Czech Vacuum Society cordially invites you to the 34th Pragovac, which will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. in the SOLID 21 building of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Pod vodárenskou věží 2531/3, Prague 8. As usual, representatives of Czech and foreign companies, members of the Czech Vacuum Society, as well as a number of leading experts, scientists and technicians in the field of vacuum technology will be present at the meeting.

Admission is free, refreshments will be provided for participants. Please register by filling out the online form on our website. Printed name tags will be provided for registered participants. Participant registration will open in October.

Vacuum 🛰️

The International Space Station orbits the Earth at an altitude of about 400 km. It flies in an imperfect vacuum with a lot of residual atmosphere. This causes the station to experience low aerodynamic drag and must occasionally correct its orbit.
